SAG Awards 2014 Fashion Round-Up: The Trends

Another weekend, another award show.

This weekend gone, we saw Hollywood glam up for Screen Actor's Guild Awards that conveniently nestles itself in between The Golden Globes and the Oscars, giving us all the more reason to wear our Fashion Police hats.

No more fluffing around, let's have a look at who nailed it and who, erm, failed miserably.

Trend: Metallics
Not our favourite of the night, but E! host keeps it simple in Basil Soda.
Modern Family superstar, Sopfia vergara showing off her enviable bod in Donna Karan Atilier.
Our favourite gal - Jen Lawrence ditches the princess cut gowns for this body-hugging Dior piece - nice one, J-Law.
A vintage goddess - Isla Fisher is killing it in this Bulgari mermaid-cut gown.
She might have a trophy on her arm, but Camilla Alves also has a glittery number by Donna Karan Atelier on her bod.
Sandra Bullock in Lanvin. Loving the green, not sure if the cut suits her.
Tom Hanks better-half, Rita Wilson bringing the glam to the monotoned carpet in this shimmering piece. A little too young for her age, but we think she's pulling it off rather finely.

Trend: The Cut-Outs
Pregnancy, what? Kerry Washington pulls off this crop-top number from Prada with all the red-carpet poise. Love the pink-hued lips too.
Amy Adams in Antonio Berardi, bringing futuristic cuts back on the trend chart. Love!
Our favorite TV lady of all times - the lovely Michelle Dockery in this low-cut, yet elegant monochrome number.

Trend: Pastel Pinks
Aussie superstar Cate Blancett keeping it elegant, sophisticated and subtle in this Givenchy gown. The cut's unflattering from some angles, indeed, but it's age-fitting.
We're not sure what's happening here... let's just say that! But the colour is a pretty red carpet one.
Julia Roberts in a simple and spring-hued Valentino gown.

Trend: The Black WTFs
Abigail Breslin chose a red carpet fitting colour, however it's a little too goth for our liking.
Sorry Mariah, but what is happening here? This is an award show, i.e. we need a gown, not a boring LBD. *yawn*
Emma Thompson, we love you, but the length of this dress, its hempline and the shoes - all wrong, sweetheart.
